The right materials
We use low-resonance materials like MDF and acrylic for the body of the turntable. Stiff materials like aluminum and glass-filled nylon are used for precision components. And noise-isolating rubber is used for the feet and flexible motor suspension. Our wood plinths are real hardwood maple and walnut, not veneers.
Hear your music, not your turntable
The Orbit’s low-noise motor synchronizes with a stable AC frequency to provide excellent speed consistency with no audible pitch variation. Our signature belt-drive decouples the motor from the rest of the turntable - preventing unwanted vibrations from reaching the platter. The platter rotates on an inverted main bearing that provides excellent stability with low bearing noise.
A well-engineered tonearm
Our OA2 gimbal arm uses precision bearings to achieve near frictionless movement horizontally and vertically. This allows the stylus to move freely as it tracks – eliminating distortion and capturing more musical detail. We keep bearing play minimal to ensure the details don’t get lost in arm movement. Every arm is tuned and tested by hand, and comes equipped with anti-skate (factory set), an adjustable stainless-steel counterweight, and an optional cue lever.
It’s all play and no work
Every Orbit is ready to play out of the box. We install the cartridge and balance the tonearm, so you’ll be spinning within minutes. Using your Orbit is simple - just turn it on and lower the tonearm. Great vinyl playback shouldn't be a hassle.
